43.On Humans Becoming Dogs:Once a human becomes a dog, they will inevitably become more dog-like than dogs themselves.

Long ago, there was a clever wolf who discovered that by approaching human settlements, it could obtain discarded food—far easier than hunting, and far more abundant than any prey it could catch. Thus, it deemed this a superior way to survive. But humans rejected the wolf, constantly trying to drive it away. To win their favor, the wolf became exceptionally docile, wagging its tail to show no hostility. It begged humans to accept it, hoping for scraps of food. When humans realized the wolf meant no harm and only sought sustenance, they grew less hostile toward it. After all, the food was destined for the trash anyway—why not let the wolf have it? Gradually sensing human goodwill, the wolf sought to please further by guarding homes and yards, hoping to earn more food. Humans, recognizing the wolf's value, willingly gave it more food. Once this wolf successfully gained human acceptance and no longer worried about food, it transformed from a wolf into a dog. Other clever wolves, seeing the benefits of becoming dogs, began to imitate this behavior. Gradually, more and more dogs were accepted by humans. However, human leftovers were always limited, and as the number of dogs grew, there was often not enough to go around. At this point, the cleverest among the dogs realized that the more they could please humans, the more food they would receive. Thus, the smart dogs began competing fiercely, using every means possible to win human favor. One dog would wag its tail, prompting another to guard the home; one dog would guard the home, prompting another to assist humans in hunting. In short, the competition escalated endlessly. Amid this competition, another clever dog realized that pleasing humans wasn't just about doing tasks—it could also be achieved through displays of loyalty. Thus began a new contest of loyalty. In this contest, one dog emerged whose method of showing loyalty to humans was astonishing: eating human feces. Though the other dogs were shocked to see this dog eating feces, once they realized humans regarded it as a sign of loyalty, all the dogs began scrambling to eat feces. This is why dogs eat feces, and why they only eat human feces.
Wolves can become dogs, and humans can become dogs too. Clever individuals will always discover that the benefits gained by acting like a dog to please their master far outweigh those earned through human labor. Thus, in human society, all those with human form gradually split into two types: those who earn their living through their own labor, and those who live by currying favor like dogs. Once a person abandons humanity to become a dog, they lose all sense of shame and moral boundaries. Their sole purpose becomes submission and flattery toward their master. For only through obedience and flattery can the dog obtain its desired benefits. This explains why some beings, though human in form, act inhumanely—they are no longer human, but dogs. Once a human becomes a dog, they too will eat feces like dogs. Wolves turned into dogs only eat human feces, but humans turned into dogs will eat not only human feces, but any feces their master desires them to eat. Thus, once a human becomes a dog, they will inevitably become more dog-like than dogs themselves.
